When you think “summer fashion,” leather probably isn't the first fabric that comes to mind, but Kim Kardashian begs to differ. The SKIMS founder attended Michael Rubin's now-infamous White Party in the Hamptons over the Fourth of July wearing a white-on-white ensemble of a skintight leather maxi skirt with a lace-up back paired with a barely-there halter top.

Kim Kardashian's all-white outfit came from one of her favorite designers, Chrome Hearts, and centered around the long skirt with corseted lace-up detailing starting at her lower back and continuing all the way down. She paired it with a circular-shaped, ultra-low cut halter top that looked more like an infinity scarf than a shirt, styling the skin-baring top with a big silver cross necklace — a key motif of Chrome Hearts, which was also subtly repeated on the top and skirt.

Because the outfit was so eye-catching, Kardashian kept her hair and makeup simple with long, easy waves and her signature soft glam, plus long French manicured nails. The whole vibe felt extremely classic Kim K; this look could easily have been worn by the star in 2012, 2016, or 2020. (This monochrome moment from the star definitely pleased a lot more people than her last one, which was rather… Erm… divisive.)

Kardashian was one of many, many, many major stars at the party; the guest list also included Camila Cabello, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and TikTok superstar Alix Earle, among others. Her dates for the party were sister Khloé Kardashian, who wore a mock-neck gown with cutouts at the chest and midriff, and her bestie Lala, who wore a two-piece crochet set. Little sister Kendall Jenner was also in attendance, and Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Wayne, MGK, and Mary J. Blige performed. In this case, stars really are not just like us!
