Bayern Munich have made one of the first major moves in the transfer window this summer, signing French winger Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.

Olise has been one of the young stars of the Premier League over the past couple of seasons and his move to Germany adds to Bayern’s armoury of creative forward players.

Here, we look at what Olise can bring to Bayern’s team and explore some of the best betting angles for those who believe the German club can return to the summit of the Bundesliga.

Bayern can reclaim title

Bayern Munich missed out on the Bundesliga title last after Bayer Leverkusen remained unbeaten all season to lift the trophy for the first time.

After 11 consecutive title victories, Bayern’s failure led to the departure of Thomas Tuchel by mutual consent, with Vincet Kompany replacing him as head coach.

The Belgian will hope to implement a more fluid style of play and with players such as Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise in his ranks, there’s every chance that he can make it work.

Olise can act as a forward-thinking right-winger but also has the ability and creativity to play in a more central role. At just 22, he is continuing to develop and his improvement under Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park last season was marked.

He had 16 goal involvements in just 19 Premier League appearances last season, with 10 goals and six assists to his name.

In those games, he managed to score against Chelsea, Manchester United and even champions Manchester City, and his big-game involvement could help Bayern in the league next season.

We’re backing Bayern to reclaim their title and it’s also worth pointing out that they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last term, losing to the eventual winners Real Madrid. It may also be worth a small play on the Germans lifting the main European trophy this season.

Olise and Kane to link well

One man Olise will be keen on linking up with is England captain Harry Kane, who was formidable in his first season in Germany, scoring 36 times in 32 league matches.

The opportunities will be there for him to score even more given the creativity that Olise will bring to the team and this could also mean the French winger opens at an attractive price in the top assist market in the Bundesliga.

He has had 17 assists over his past two Premier League campaigns and we’re expecting him to be top of the rankings again in Germany.
