Israel Salas-Rodriguez is a senior breaking news reporter at The U.S. Sun. He joined The U.S. Sun in June 2020, supporting the news desk's breaking news coverage by monitoring and accurately reporting on developing stories nationwide. Prior to joining The U.S. Sun, Israel was a field reporter for the New York Post. He assisted the paper with its early coverage of the coronavirus pandemic in NYC. He also reported on crime throughout the city's five boroughs and the neighboring New Jersey and Connecticut states by aiming to speak with first-hand witnesses and officials or conducting door knocks. Israel graduated from Brooklyn College in 2018 with a B.A. in journalism.
