What happened to Bobbie Spencer in General Hospital?
During the January 2, 2024, episode of General Hospital, the American embassy contacted Bobbie Spencer's daughter Carly.
The embassy informed Carly that Bobbie died in her sleep.
As Carly was left to mourn her mother's death, she contacted their family and friends to break the news to them.
Bobbie's funeral is featured in season 61, episode 86 of GH; which is scheduled to air Wednesday, January 10.

Who played Bobbie on GH?
Bobbie was portrayed by late Emmy Award-nominated actress, Jacklyn Zeman.
On May 9, 2023, 70-year-old Jacklyn died after a short battle with cancer.
On Twitter, GH's Frank Valentini announced: "I am heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jackie Zeman.
"Just like her character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer, she was a bright light and true professional that brought so much positive energy with her to work.

"Jackie will be greatly missed, but her positive spirit will always live on with our cast and crew.
"We send our heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones, friends, and family, especially her daughters Cassidy and Lacey. #GH."
The GH team paid tribute to her and expressed: "We are devastated by the news of her passing, and send our deepest condolences to Jackie's family, friends and loved ones.
"She leaves behind a lasting legacy for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the bad girl turned heroine and will always be remembered for her kind heart and radiant spirit."
Jacklyn is survived by her two daughters, Cassidy and Lacey.

Where can I watch GH?
From Monday to Friday, General Hospital debuts a new episode at 3 pm EST via ABC.
Following the new episode's cable premiere, GH is available to stream on Hulu, Fubo TV, Sling, and ABC's online site.
Regarding GH's tribute episode to Bobbie, Carly's actress Laura Wright told People: "When we shot the memorial, the entire cast was there.
"And it wasn't just for Bobbie, it was for Jackie as well.

"I mean, walking on set and seeing her photo, seeing all the pamphlets of like when you come to a memorial or a celebration of life, the pamphlet speaking about the individual and who is going to speak, it was bittersweet.
"It was about Jackie and everyone was so present. It was like we as a cast got to really say goodbye."
