This week Anya Taylor-Joy shared a photo on Instagram of what was underneath her black and gold gown at the New York premiere for her upcoming sci-fi flick Dune: Part Two.

The 27-year-old actress was wearing a waist-cinching corset that looked like more like a torture device as it bowed her frame over her hips while she held onto her bust.
Some of her followers claimed Anya was “promoting starvation”, and one commented: “What a terrible, terrible thing to do to yourself or share with others, as an influencer.”
But she isn’t the only celebrity who is getting waisted — corsets are the next big thin.
Other stars have used Victorian-style corsetry to fit into a frock.
Love Island presenter Maya Jama shared images of her wearing a structured bodice, while Kim Kardashian has been very honest about pouring her famous curves into corsets for big occasions.
And the trend doesn’t stop at lingerie.
A-list screen star Florence Pugh flaunted the look as outerwear on the red carpet, and fans of pop megastar Taylor Swift saw her wearing a corset as she cheered on boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl.
