Brad Pitt secretly invites Hans Zimmer to F1 race as legendary composer starts writing Apex score
Brad wanted Hans to score Apex after the musician's work on another big budget Formula One movie
I AM not surprised Brad Pitt has called upon Hans Zimmer to write the score for his new racing film Apex.
The composer is famed for creating music for some of the greatest movies of all time, including Gladiator and The Lion King.

I’ve been told Brad made sure Hans got a feel for the flick by inviting him to a Formula 1 race to hang out with him and Mercedes driver Sir Lewis Hamilton.
My mole explained: “Hans wrote the score for the F1 film Rush in 2013, so it was a no-brainer for Brad to have him on board.
“He personally invited Hans down to a race to spend time with him and Lewis on the grid to get his creative juices flowing.
“There are more announcements being made about the film in the coming days and from what Brad has heard of Hans’ score for Apex, it sounds like he’s on to a winner.”

Brad is now a regular at Grand Prix races across the world.
He has even taken over a paddock at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix for the past two years to film scenes as driver Sonny Hayes.
To make it even more realistic, I revealed earlier this year that Sky Sports F1 racing commentators Martin Brundle and David Croft have shot cameos.
I can’t lie. Seeing Brad in racing leathers is what will get my bum on a cinema seat.

Joost, among the bookies’ favourites to win with his song Europapa, was probed by cops in Malmo after “a complaint made by a female member of the production crew”.
The Swedish Prosecution Authority said he had “made a movement that hit the woman’s film camera”, but it was “perceived differently by the witnesses”.
The senior prosecutor added: “I cannot prove that the act was capable of causing serious fear or the man had any such intention.”

That superhero smash was relegated to second place in the takings stakes.
Meanwhile, Despicable Me 4 moved to No3 with takings of £1.4million over the weekend.
But I doubt Deadpool actor Ryan will be too gutted that he and Wolverine’s Hugh Jackman have been pushed into second place.
Their blockbuster has just passed takings of $1billion (£780million), so it’s clearly a massive success.
ZOE BALL has taken a sudden break from Radio 2, almost four months after her mum died.
The breakfast presenter was absent for Friday’s show and again yesterday, when Scott Mills replaced her.
She is not expected to return until September, although Scott did not reveal what was behind her absence.
He said on air: “If you set your alarm every morning to go off at 6.30 and normally Zoe comes on, please do not freak out. You have not overslept.
“I’m here doing the breakfast show, do not panic.”
