A POPULAR rapper has suddenly died at 39 after he fainted during a takeover of a morning radio show.

Justin “BeatKing” Riley was best known for his impact on music in Texas and across the South in the early 2000s.

The Houston native was rushed to a hospital after he passed out at the Urban One/Radio One station due to a pulmonary embolism, according to TMZ.

This condition is when a blood clot blocks a vessel in someone's lung.

He died in a local Houston hospital with his two daughters by his side.

His manager, Tasha Felder, announced the tragic news via a heartbreaking Instagram post on August 15.

"BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade," Felder posted.

She praised and remembered his work and impact on the music industry through her tribute.

"He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live," Felder added.

"He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting , his music and his fans.

"We will love him forever."

Fans shared their tributes to the rapper in comments on Felder's post.

"I'm sorry for your loss!! This just shocked tf out of me," one person wrote.

"Everybody loved bro!!"

"Man, RIP to a TEXAS LEGEND," another fan wrote.

"This is horrible news!" a third fan said.

"He will forever be missed."

BEATKING'S CAREER

Riley was a popular and prominent figure in Houston’s underground music scene.

He collaborated with some globally famous artists like 2 Chainz and Moneybagg Yo.

Riley was particularly well-known for his songs Then Leave and Scream.

His music often became popular among club-goers, and his Instagram handle @clubgodzilla reflects that.

Rock icon Jack Russell, from the 1980s band Great White, died on Thursday.
