HAD THEIR FILL

Celebs who embraced the make-under including Love Island star who looks ‘five years younger’ since ditching fillers

BOTOX and lip fillers have been all the rage for years, thanks in part to reality shows like Love Island.

But now it seems the tide is turning as more and more Brits are ditching the procedures in a bid to copy celebs choosing a more natural look, according to new figures.

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons has found a 7.5 per cent drop in cosmetic facial treatments in the first three months of the year, compared to 2022.

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague is said to have helped kickstart the 'less is more' trend, having ditched the lip fillers she had in the villa.

Here we reveal the famous faces who are embracing their natural beauty.

Courteney Cox

Friends star Courteney Cox has candidly admitted she “messed up a lot” by getting too many fillers in a bid to maintain her looks.

The actress had all her facial fillers dissolved in 2017.

Speaking on a podcast in March, Courteney said: “You don't realise what it looks like to the outside person and just doing too many fillers and then having to have them removed, which thank God they are removable, but I think I messed up a lot and now luckily I can, I was able to reverse most of that, and now I'm actually just older.”

The 58-year-old added: “I look at pictures of me from when I thought I looked okay, and I can't believe it.”

In a magazine interview in 2017 she admitted she felt better because she "looked like herself" again.

"I think that I now look more like the person that I was," she added.

“Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake.

"You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles — they’re smile lines."

Faye Winter

Former Love Island star Faye Winter revealed she had no idea how big her lips were until she watched herself on telly while appearing on the seventh series of the reality show in 2021.

Speaking earlier this year, she said: “I thought my lips looked great until I came out and saw myself from a different perspective.

“I saw it like that for the first time rather than just looking in the mirror. My mum and dad told me they look a bit big and silly.”

The Celebrity MasterChef star had 4.5ml of filler in her lips when she went into the villa.

Faye decided to ditch them, but found she's lost elasticity in her lips, causing wrinkles.

"At that point, I had to go and have 0.5ml put back in, which is what I've got now," she explained. "This is the look I've always wanted, and the look I thought I had!"

Faye, 27, also admitted she tried Botox but that it went wrong, adding: 'It was the worst I've ever felt. My full forehead, it is a paralysing substance, temporarily.

“If too much is put in, the muscle can get heavy and droop your forehead down.”

Blac Chyna

The American model is the queen of the make-under and has drastically transformed her looks recently.

Blac Chyna – real name Angela White - has been documenting her process of getting a breast reduction and reducing her bum implants, as well as dissolving her facial fillers, on social media.

The 34-year-old has revealed she was just 19 when she first got silicone injections in her bottom and has had five boob jobs.

Speaking in a video she shared with her fans on Instagram, the mum-of-two said in March: “I'm past that stage. Been there, done that. This is actually my fifth time, hopefully my last time, getting my breasts done."

Sharing another video from inside her doctor’s office, she said: “As y'all know, I'm changing my life and changing my ways. So one of the things that I feel like is gonna take me to the next level is obviously taking some of these ass shots out."

The reality TV star also posted a video showing the process of getting the filler in her cheeks, jaw, and lips dissolved to get back to her "baseline".

Love Island star Molly-Mae is said to have inspired the current 'make-under' movement after getting her own lip injections dissolved.

The influencer said she got a “full package” of the treatment for £500, targeting her cheeks, jaw and lips, after leaving the Love Island villa in 2019 and she was left looking “like a different person”.

Speaking on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, she said: 'I wouldn’t say I got addicted to it, but by the age of 21, I didn’t look like the same person.

“I literally looked like a different person. When I look back at pictures now, I’m terrified of myself. I’m like, 'Who was that girl?' I don’t know what happened.

“But there was this one pivotal moment where I’d gone and got loads of filler and I posted a YouTube video and I hadn’t let the filler settle and it was really swollen and a screenshot from that video, it trended on Twitter for weeks.

“It was horrendous... My face was literally like, it was just awful. That was the moment for me as well where I was like, I think things need to change.”

The 23-year-old said she looked five years younger after getting her fillers dissolved in 2020, adding: “I literally took it to the extreme and I just stripped myself back and weirdly, I felt the prettiest I'd ever felt, once it had all gone.

“I feel like I’d dropped about five years off my age and it was like, it was a really, really significant moment for me.”

Former Towie star-turned-country singer Megan McKenna revealed she bid farewell to her plumped up pout in a bid to be taken more seriously in the music industry.

Megan, 30, had her lip fillers dissolved more than three years ago and has completed her transformation by dyeing her brunette hair platinum blonde.

Speaking last month, she said: “I’m really comfortable with the way I look. Before, I was in a different environment.

"In the world of reality TV you get all these things for free and you think, 'Oh, I’ll get that,' and you get wrapped up in it and a bit of body dysmorphia."

In an interview last year she encouraged others to “embrace their natural looks”, adding: “There are always trends. There’s always times when people want this big and that big and want this sucked out and this and that.

“But I feel like, the way the world is going, people should embrace their natural looks.

“And the most compliments I get is because I’m 100 per cent natural."

Towie alumni Gemma Collins has admitted she tried Botox and fillers but stopped because she didn’t “look like me anymore”.

Gemma, 42, who has spent £8,000 on past treatments, claimed celebs “all look the same” and urged people to embrace the natural look.

Speaking to The Sun in 2021, she said: “I had it all dissolved. I can't stand it. I was looking at myself thinking, ‘I just don't look like me anymore.'

"The young girls of today, all these lips, it's just a bit too much. People think it's the norm now, and it's not. We've got to stay natural."

Former Love Islander Olivia Attwood is said to have forked out thousands of pounds of cosmetic treatments before heading into the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2022.

She once joked she felt like she was “fresh out of the womb” after having her under eye fillers and her Botox topped up.

But Olivia, 32, revealed she got her top lip filler removed after admitting she went too far with the cosmetic procedure.

Explaining why she decided to ditch the filler after six years, the reality TV star said in 2019: “That lip has started to come out of the lip line and started to look really puffy - something I never wanted, so I'm actually excited to start again fresh.”

Olivia added: “It looks better than it did because it was over-filled.”
