SHEHNAAZ Gill was the girl next door - a sweet and clever brunette who grew up in Punjab and had big dreams of being an actress.
The 30-year-old attended a co-educational school in the Upper Bakrota Hills of Dalhousie in North India and graduated from Lovely Professional University with a degree in commerce.
In many ways, she was just like her peers.
But all that changed the moment she walked into the Bigg Boss house in 2019.
Fans of the show quickly grew to love Shehnaaz for her bubbly personality; she finished in second place and left the house a celebrity.
Her net worth spiked astronomically to a reported USD $4 million (INR 33 crore) and her opportunities extended from advertisements to reality TV shows.

The superstar was reportedly paid more than USD $5,414 (INR 4.5 lakh) per episode of Bigg Boss.
More than three years on, she is believed to have an annual income of more than USD $360,000 (INR 3 crore).
Shehnaaz's new career has afforded her a lifestyle - and luxury car collection - most people could never dream of having.
As well as a luxury house in Beas, Amritsar, she now owns a swanky new three-bedroom home in the posh suburb of Andheri in Mumbai city.

It is vast and white, highlighted with blue trims, and filled with indoor plants which add a sophisticated touch.
But the real stars of the show are tucked neatly in her garage: an Audi A4, a Honda City, a Range Rover Evoque, an Audi Q3, a Mercedes Benz C-Class, and a Jaguar.
The automobiles are understood to range in price from USD $16,850 (Rs 10-14 Lakh), for her Honda City, to more than USD $144,400 (Rs 1.2 Crore), for her Jaguar XJ.
The star, who now works as a model, actor, and singer, boasts a mammoth following of 16.1 million on Instagram and 2.94 million on YouTube.
Her Instagram profile is filled with pictures of her looking glamorous in luxury brands.
Beneath a picture of her dressed in a blue leather dress by Parisian luxury brand Jitrois, one fan wrote: "#ShehnaazGill dressed in blue, the color of infinity.
"Our go girl, you keep growing to greater heights."
Someone else said Shehnaaz was the "Queen of billions hearts".
Another wrote: "This is beauty at its best."
Once the girl next door, Shehnaaz is now a household name, with a number of Hindi and Punjabi movies and television shows, and many more music videos, under her belt.

In 2021, she was awarded the Bollywood Life Television Award for Best Social Media TV Couple with actor Sidharth Shukla.
She now hosts talk show Desi Vibes With Shehnaaz, for which she has interviewed Bollywood stars such as Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Kapil Sharma.
