Kate later posed with sisters Nicky and Paris Hilton, who both wore red mini dresses.
Taking to Instagram to praise the night, Kate playfully made fun of Kathy’s giant bauble decorations.
She wrote: “If there was any doubt that Kathy Hilton has bigger Christmas balls than anyone else, let this be an end to it.
"Thank you Kathy and Nicky and my girl Paris for a lovely, warm family night.”
