LOVE Island fans have a theory that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is a 'plant' who was sent in by producers to cause chaos in the villa.

This comes after the Turkish actress, 27, has been TV gold since she entered the show as a bombshell late last week.

After making a play for Davide Sanclimenti while he was coupled up with Gemma Owen, she succeeded in coupling up with him and they shared a passionate kiss on last night's show.

But not one to let the grass grow under her feet, Ekin-Su also shared a flirty chat with Gemma's ex Jacques O'Neill after he entered the villa as another bombshell last night.

And fans were quick to speculate that Ekin-Su could be a 'plant' sent in by producers to shake up the show and cause merry hell.

They took to twitter to share their conspiracy theory.

One wrote: "Maybe Ekin-Su is a PLANT, producers saw how dead the first the few weeks were last year and thought nope not this year and sent her in to cause chaos."

A second added: "Ekin-Su is clearly a production plant but I’m here for her messiness."

A third weighed in: "I feel like Ekin-Su is a plant to wind up Gemma."

"Nah Ekin-Su is a plant and I LOVE ITTTTT!!!" chipped in a fourth.

And a fifth tweeted: "Convinced Ekin-Su is a producer’s plant."

And twitter wasn't the only place where there was rampant speculation about her being sent in by producers with the sole purpose of making waves.

Reddit's forum on Love Island was also rife with this theory.

One posted: "I was honestly gonna do a post about Ekin-su being a producer plant. The degree in which she's making stuff happen just seems sus to me. Let's also not forget she's an actress. I wouldn't be surprised is she was hired."

And a second echoed that: "Definitely Ekin-Su. The way she was coaching Indiyah and the way she moves the plot along, she's got to be a producer herself. She's brilliant."

Others argued she isn't a plant, however, claiming that her skills as an actress make her naturally able to whip up drama.

One user pointed out: "She’s an actress so she would try to steer as much drama as possible naturally, to further her career both as an influencer and as an actress."

The Sun has reached out to ITV2 for comment.
