Love Island’s Ekin-Su and Brendyn can win Dancing on Ice and here’s why, reveals former pro Alex Murphy
ICE skating pro Alex Murphy thinks Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu will be queen of the Ice alongside skating partner Brendyn Hatfield.
Former Love Island Queen Ekin-Su will be taking to the ice in January for the next season of the ITV contest Dancing on Ice, alongside professional skating partner Brendyn Hatfield.
Ex-Dancing On Ice pro, Alex Murphy, has revealed that she thinks Ekin-Su and Brendyn will win the show when it returns early next year.
The American skater who swiped the top spot with celebrity partner and TV personality Joe Swash in 2020, exclusively told The Sun she thinks the pair will "definitely" win.
Speaking at the Pink Ribbon Foundation Gala, Alex said: "I think anyone who's paired with Brendyn could do really well and make it to the final.
"He's so talented. And he makes the girls feel really safe. I think that anyone with him will do really well. But I'm really excited he’s with her.
"She's got a good following. And that's part of it, too, that it is a game like as talented.
"You also have to have that following of people in that fan base to keep you in, you know."
Alex was previously expected to be partnered up with actor Michael Barrymore when she competed on the show, but instead was partnered with Joe after Michael broke his hand in training.
When the show returns in 2023 it will host a range of familiar celebrity faces, including singer Michelle Heaton, who was part of the group Liberty X and shot to fame in the early 2000's.
The singer admitted to struggling with drug and alcohol addiction in 2021 and since getting healthy is eager to take to the ice.

Hollyoaks blonde bombshell, Carley Stenson announced she'd be getting her skates on, following in similar footsteps to her husband and fellow actor Danny Mac, who was a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing.
Reality TV legend Joey Essex is also taking to the ice and he's not shy of sharing that he is eager to win, revealing on This Morning: "I've done all the dating shows. I like doing serious stuff, but this is a competition.
"I would love to win."
Corrie star Mollie Gallagher, who plays the niece of Roy Cropper, is leaving the infamous street to partake on the show.
The actress told Lorraine Kelly: "I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!”
Alex attended the Pink Ribbon Gala to support the charity helping women and a smaller percentage of men who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
The glamourous event was attended by a whole host of famous faces including Aisleyne Horgan- Wallace and Nicola McLean.
