Shoppers scramble to Sainsbury’s to pick up Quality Street chocolates slashed to just £1.35

Christmas might be other but people still want to stock up on chocolates

SAVVY shoppers are going wild as Sainsbury's continue to slash the price of Christmas chocolate.

And that's not all - chocolate biscuits and festive nuts are also up for grabs.

Bargain hunters were thrilled by the discounts and quickly took to social media to share the news so others could snap up the deals.

So if you're a chocolate lover and need to stock up to getthrough the January Blues, listen up.

Posting on Facebook, Sharon Edwards, shared the bargain buys she found in her local supermarket.

"Some greatly reduced goodies this morning in Sainsbury’s," she wrote on the group, Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK, which boasts over 2million members.

The bargain hunter shared a snap of all the goodies that ere reduced in the aisle.

Including in the photo was a bag of Quality Street chocolates that had been marked down from £4.50 to £1.35 that members of the group rushed to get their hands on.

As well as bags of chocolate - Cadbury's biscuit tins were also slashed in price form £6 down to £3.50.

Finally, KP Original Salted Nuts were also on sale at £1.35 instead of £4.50 a tin.

But Sharon wasn't the only person to find lots of bargain food deals while shopping.

Georga was shopping in Morrisons when she spotted meat anf fish heavily discounted.

The savvy shopper managed to get her hands on a British beef silverside joint, which was once £11.72, for just £2.93.

She also bagged beef ribs, a pork roasting joint and two packs of salmon.

Social media users were stunned by the Chocolate deals and took to the comments to express their delight.

One person wrote: "So jealous would love the quality street."

Another commented: "Them bags are reduced even more!!"

"Might have to pop over tomorrow. Probably all gone now," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "I want the Cadbury!"

Other shoppers revealed some shops still had the products marked as full price but scanned a lot cheaper at the checkout.

"Ok I did go to one near me. The nuts marked up as £2.25. Took two to check the price, and scanned £1.35. Thank you,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: "In my store they were labelled at £6 but scanning at £3.50."
