However, the fitness coach is actually decades older than that, and is almost 60.

The mum of two told Australian news outlet news.com.au: “I’m getting ready to celebrate my 58th birthday this year.

“Most people just assume I am in my early thirties. I’ve even had 29 before.

“I’m getting ready to celebrate my 58th birthday this year,” the personal trainer told news.com.au.

“Most people just assume I am in my early thirties. I’ve even had 29 before."

Nikki, who owns a fitness studio in her hometown, has always had a keen interest in working out, which she believes has helped her to maintain her impressive physique.

During her childhood, Nikki's dad was an athlete and her mum was battling a chronic illness, which helped to reinforce to her the importance of looking after your body.

Nikki's preferred method of exercise is lifting weights and building muscle strength and on a typical day, she gets up before sunrise to teach training and spin classes.

The personal trainer usually hits the gym on 4-5 days a week and walks her dogs every afternoon, which helps her to reach her 10,000 steps a day target.

The fitness pro doesn't stick to a strict diet, but tries to make sure that all of her meals are healthy.

She said: "My workout focus is very muscle centric. This means I prioritise my weight training over my other exercise modalities,” she said.

I'm 63 and feel the same as when I was in my 20s and I won't stop wearing bikinis, sheer dresses and tiny shorts

“I avoid sitting for long periods of time and do stick to the classic rule of thumb of ten thousand steps a day. Sometimes I don’t quite make it, but that’s the goal.

“I eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and aim for eating 100g of protein each day. I like to eat whole grains and some healthy fat.

“My goal is a diet that is going to keep me healthy for as long as possible without feeling at all restrictive, and I want to feel fuelled, satiated and enjoy eating.”

Nikki has shared her top tips for staying youthful.

She always drinks lots of water and doesn't drink alcohol, which she believes has helped her to stay young looking.

She also wears suncream every day and wears big hats to cover herself from the sun's UV rays.

Nikki said that she understands that older women can find getting the confidence to get back into fitness daunting.

  2. Lift weights
  3. Wear SPF every day
  4. Walk as much as possible
  5. Have fun and love people

However, she shared some advice for those planning on trying it out.

She said: "If you can, find a place where you feel comfortable,” she said.

“Even now some public gyms don’t make people feel all that welcome, whether you are a young person, a woman, an older person, it can be very intimidating.

“So go to a few gyms and simply have a tour, ask questions and see how you feel.

“A lot of gyms offer older adult programs, however remember you want to get strong and maintain or build muscle, so look for studios where there are already some epic older role models, and they are lifting some pretty good weight.”
