LOVE Island is back in full swing - and the Islanders are all looking sizzling, showing off their enviably-toned bodies as they pull one another for 'a chat'.
The series has a long history of recruiting some of the most beautiful men and women in the country.

In fact, former contestants Molly-Mae Hague and Yewande Biala, are just two of the Love Island legends who have been hailed as having the ‘best bodies’ in villa history, according to science.
It's based on a mathematical formula developed by the ancient Greeks over 2,000 years ago.
Also known as Phi, the Golden Ratio is a formula designed to identify beautiful proportions in nature.
To work it out, you divide the circumference of a woman’s waist by the circumference of her hips and the closer the results come to 0.7, the more appealing a body is... scientifically speaking.

Why does a ‘golden ratio’ body look so attractive?
But why does this number mean anything?
According to scientists, the reason that bodies that fit the golden ratio look attractive is that a slimmer waist suggests a woman is young and fertile, while more generous hips and bottom hints she is likely to give birth easily - so really it goes back to caveman days when males were looking for a healthy mate.
Anthropologists say a quick glance at the waist and hips of a woman’s body is short-hand for a male to work out roughly how old a female is - as waists tend to thicken with age and childbirth – and if she is already pregnant by a rival.
Indeed, research has found out it could be right - as studies by Harvard University found that women with this ‘ideal’ curvy shape have 37 per higher levels of fertility hormones.

So who comes top of the bods?
To find out whose body comes closest to the golden triangle formula, we asked Dr. Omar Tillo, a Plastic Surgeon and Senior Medical Director at CREO Clinic, to do the calculations.
The surgeon compared the width of the waists and bottoms of celebrities and according to his calculations, Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Yewande Biala, Molly Smith and Maura Higgins came on top, all with perfect scores of 0.7.

How did the celebs score?
As well as calculating the ratios, we asked Dr. Omar Tillo to give his verdict.
Molly-Mae Hague
Golden Triangle score: 0.7

According to Dr. Omar, Molly-Mae Hague, who has a daughter named Bambi with her Love Island partner Tommy Fury, scores a perfect score of 0.7.
The surgeon explained: “Molly-Mae Hague boasts a well-toned physique with round hips that have a gentle, natural curve.
“Her body shows no signs of surgical or non-surgical enhancements, presenting a smooth S-shaped curvature with excellent symmetry.
“Her hips' maximum projection is central, giving them a beautifully round shape with waist-to-hip ratio at the golden ratio of 0.7.”
Yewande Biala
Golden Triangle score: 0.7

Where Irish reality TV star turned author Yewande Biala is concerned, Dr. Omar added: “Yewande boasts a stunning body with a narrow waist and perfectly round hips.
“Her hourglass figure features a smooth and continuous S-shaped curvature, achieving a waist-to-hip ratio at 0.7 that exactly fits the golden ratio.”
Maura Higgins

Maura Higgins, who is now the host of Love Island US, also scored a perfect rating of 0.7, as Dr. Omar explained: “Maura Higgins has a stunning body with a slim and athletic build.
“Her well-defined muscles accentuate her round frame.
“Her full and round hips feature a smooth and continuous S-shaped curvature, creating a natural hourglass look with the perfect waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7.”
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu
Golden Triangle score: 0.7

Ekin-Su, who recently starred in Celebrity Big Brother, was another to take the top spot, as Dr. Omar continued: “Ekin-Su's healthy, slim, and well-defined muscles give her an athletic look.
“She has round hips with a high take-off and a mild hip dip, perfectly narrow waist, and natural hip curvature.
“Her waist-to-hip ratio is aesthetically perfect, at 0.7, complemented by her smooth skin.”
Molly Smith
Golden Triangle score: 0.7

Molly Smith, who won the most recent series of Love Island All Stars, was another to take the top spot, as Dr. Omar highlighted: “Molly Smith's athletic physique features very strong muscle definition.
“Her round hips and plump glutes, along with a short infra-gluteal crease, create a circular frame shape.
“Her waist-to-hip ratio is at the golden ratio of 0.7.”
Dr. Tillo's 12-Points Blueprint for a Perfectly Shaped Buttock and Hips:
1. Smooth S-Shaped Curvature: Achieving a perfectly shaped buttock and hips starts with a smooth and continuous S-shaped curve along the sides and back. This creates a seamless transition between the waist, hips, buttocks and thighs.
2. Heart-Shaped Frame: The hips and gluteal area should ideally have a round or A-shaped, heart-shaped frame, adding to the overall attractiveness and balance of the silhouette.
3. Waist to Hip Ratio: The waist to hip ratio should ideally be 0.7, which is considered the golden ratio.
4. Supragluteal Fossettes: Also known as dimples of Venus, these are often present in the sacral area of the back, adding to the aesthetic appeal.
5. Round and Plump Glutes: Having round and plump glutes provides healthy and attractive look.
6. Defined Upper Cleavage: The upper end of gluteal crease (gluteal cleavage) should form a V-shape, enhancing the definition of the upper glutes.
7. Lower Cleavage: As the buttocks separate inferiorly, a well-defined lower cleavage should be present.
8. V-Shaped Thigh Gap: A V-shaped space (gap) between the upper inner thighs, combined with the inferior cleavage, forms a diamond-shaped space, adding to the aesthetic appeal.
9. Short Infra-Gluteal Crease: The infra-gluteal crease (line) should be short, extending along one-third or less of the infra-gluteal distance
10. Smooth Upper Lateral Thighs: The upper lateral thigh should be smooth and flat, with a seamless transition into the hips and gluteal area without creases or folds.
11. Firm and Tight Skin: The skin should be firm, tight, and have a smooth surface to enhance the overall appearance.
12. Symmetry: Lastly, symmetry in shape and proportions is always desirable for achieving the ideal shape.
Olivia Attwood
Golden Triangle score: 0.73

When it comes to Love Island turned Loose Women star Olivia Attwood, Dr. Omar added: “Olivia Attwood’s slim figure and beautiful body are nothing short of spectacular.
“She has round and plump glutes, high hip uptake, and beautiful curves with a mild natural hip dip.
“The pronounced difference between her waist and hips of 0.73 nearly reaches the golden ratio.”
Amber Gill
Golden Triangle score: 0.74

Winner of the 2019 series, where Amber Gill’s stunning body is concerned, Dr. Omar suggested: “Amber Gill's narrow waist and perfectly A-shaped frame are accentuated by the maximum projection low on her hips and buttocks.
“Her fantastic transformation through weight loss and exercise has revealed an incredible body frame with excellent symmetry and well-defined lower back and posterior buttocks.
“Her waist to hip ratio is 0.74.”
Megan Barton Hanson
Golden Triangle score: 0.68

Close behind was Megan Barton Hanson, who has since become an Only Fans star since leaving the villa, as the surgeon claimed: “Megan Barton Hanson has a curvy, full, and attractive figure.
“Despite some skin dimpling, her buttocks are full and round.
“Her hips have central fullness, giving them a round shape, her waist to hip ratio at 0.68 is slightly below the golden ratio.”
Faye Winter
Golden Triangle score: 0.75

Where Faye Winter, who bravely opened up about trolling, is concerned, the surgeon suggested: “Faye Winter's very slim physique results from a good diet and exercise.
“Her skinny hips and buttocks feature a natural hip dip and a subtle A-shaped frame.
“While her waist is slim and narrow, her waist-to-hip ratio at 0.75 is higher than the golden ratio.”
Sharon Gaffka
Golden Triangle score: 0.74

Sharon Gaffka, an award-winning women's rights activist, had a similar score, as Dr. Omar explained: “Sharon Gaffka has a beautiful, athletic, and slim figure.
“Her hips' maximum projection point is relatively low, creating an attractive A-shaped frame.
“Her moderate posterior buttock and hip projection result in a waist-to-hip ratio at 0.74 is higher than the golden ratio.”
Georgia Steel
Golden Triangle score: 0.71

Georgia Steel, who entered the Love Island villa for a second time at love, was closer to the ‘perfect’ golden ratio result, as Dr. Omar added: “Georgia Steel's slim and athletic build forms a perfectly A-shaped frame with round and plump glutes and a thigh gap.
“Her waist-to-hip ratio is nearly at the golden ratio at 0.71.”
Sophie Piper
Golden Triangle score: 0.68

When it comes Sophie Piper, who is still coupled up with her Love Island beau Josh Ritchie, Dr. Omar explained: “Sophie Piper's full, curvy hips with low maximum projection give her a wide A-shaped figure.
“Her narrow, slim waist creates a pronounced difference between her waist and hips, resulting in a waist-to-hip ratio at 0.68 is slightly lower than the golden ratio.”
Gemma Owen
Golden Triangle score: 0.71

Daughter of Michael Owen, Gemma Owen was slightly closer to the golden ratio, as Dr. Omar explained: “Gemma Owen has plump glutes with a short infra-gluteal crease.
“Her round hips and hourglass figure, featuring a smooth and continuous S-shaped curvature, give her a waist-to-hip ratio at 0.71 is slightly higher than the golden ratio.”
Indiyah Polack
Golden Triangle score: 0.72

When discussing podcast and presenter Indiyah Polack’s frame, Dr. Omar revealed: “Indiyah Polack’s slim and athletic build features low hip fullness and projection with an A-shaped frame.
“Her narrow waist results in a ratio of 0.72 which is above the golden ratio.”
Anna Vakili
Golden Triangle score: 0.67

Finally, according to Dr. Omar, Anna Vakili, who has a podcast with her sister Mandi, scored slightly less on the golden ratio, as he concluded: “Anna Vakili has full, round buttocks and hips, creating a heart-shaped hourglass figure.
“Her waist-to-hip ratio at 0.67 is less than the golden ratio, enhancing her striking silhouette.”
