But one teen was just gifted a Porsche Macan worth over £50,000 for her 16th birthday… And her famous mum is now coming under fire for buying the big motor.
Reality TV queen Kyle Richards and her ex-husband Mauricio Umansky gifted their youngest daughter the car to mark her sweet 16th.
But after sharing the lavish gift on social media, the proud parents were hit with criticism.
Trolls called the teen “just another spoiled little rich girl” and accused Kyle, 55, of making her daughter “entitled”.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has since hit back at critics.
When asked about the birthday gift by TMZ, mum-of-four Kyle insisted the vehicle wasn't as expensive as believed.
She cited her daughter's good grades and driving skills as reasons she deserved the vehicle.
But she also cited her name as one of the reasons.
The teen, who turned 16 in March, is called Portia.

“She's a very good driver, she's a straight A student, she's a good kid,” Kyle said, adding she believed her daughter deserved the vehicle.
“I said to my husband, ‘she works very hard’, and you know you can talk to him about that - that was his purchase.
“[Her name] may have had something to do with it.”
Kyle and her husband Mauricio, a Los Angeles-based estate agent, separated after 27 years of marriage last summer.
They began dating in 1994 and tied the knot two years later.
