But being on holiday for that long would stretch any budget, with Ellena trying out some money-saving hacks to keep costs down.

She decided to share one of the tricks in a video on her TikTok page, but couldn't have predicted the response it would get.

In the clip, she was seen buttering some bread and filling with cheese, making them into sandwiches.

"Mum hack if staying in a hotel with little ones," she wrote over the top.

"My girls don't eat breakfast, it's too early for them, so… I take a container to breakfast to make sandwiches for the day."

She then put the sandwiches into the container, and added some cucumber slices and extra bits of cheese.

"Sorted for lunch!" she added, although pointed out that the sandwiches shouldn't be left too long in the heat as the cheese will melt.

People quickly weighed in on the video in the comments, with one raging: "The dryest sandwiches ever - no fillings around the edges or corners.

"Poor kids!

"Why can't you make a decent sandwich?"

"That's so cheeky," another said.

"I could never," a third commented.

As someone else said: "I'm so grateful to be able to afford things."

To which Ellena responded: "We’re on holiday for 5 weeks!

"As you know kids eat every 2 mins!"

But the rude comments continued, prompting Ellena to issue another response in a separate video.

Two kids under 16 eat for free with the purchase of an adult breakfast for £10.99.

It’s available from 6.30am to 10.30am midweek and 7am to 11am at weekends.

You must have a Clubcard to redeem the offer.

THE RANGE: Kids under 16 get one free meal per adult main purchased at The Range cafes.

Options include sandwiches, a cooked breakfast and fish and chips.

All kids’ meals come with a piece of fruit and a drink.

"Wow guys!" she began.

"I have got slaughtered for taking a container to breakfast on holiday.

"The comments have been insane - just because I take a container to breakfast and fill it with sandwiches and little other bits for my kids in the morning."

Ellena added that the hack she'd shared was taking the container to breakfast - not making the sandwiches.

"I got slaughtered for the way I put the cheese in the bread and people are allowed to call me names and tell me about myself all because I'm making a sandwich for my kids," she raged.

"'Poor kids, poor kids' - they are on holiday here for five weeks!"

Taking aim at trolls, she continued: "It's crazy how you people out there think you can put us mums down.

"You don't know how we parent, so don't even come on my TikTok and try and comment if you've got nothing nice to say - because it's really not nice to put people down."

She concluded by turning the camera around to share the incredible view from her hotel room.

And people in the comments on that video quickly offered Ellena their reassurance, with one writing: "I thought it was a brill idea!"

"Take no notice hun - all mums with young kids do the same," another insisted.

"Ignore these sad people babes & enjoy your vacation," a third urged.

As someone else insisted the trolls were probably just "jealous".
