Gary stunned me by announcing our split while I was pregnant – then trolls said I USED him for kids, says Laura Anderson

LAURA Anderson has revealed how she was left stunned after her ex Gary Lucy split up with her whilst she was pregnant.
The former couple met on Celebs Go Dating in 2022 and then a year later Laura announced that she was pregnant with Gary’s baby.

But very shortly after, the former Hollyoaks actor announced that they were no longer together.
Speaking to Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton on Made By Mammas: The Podcast, the former Love Islander revealed how difficult this was to go through at the time of her pregnancy.
Laura said: “I was so excited to become a mum, but it probably was the hardest time.”
The 35-year-old reality star had always envisioned being pregnant and having her partner there, but feels this was stripped from her after their split became so public.

Laura felt she was left in the dark after he publicly announced the split without telling her “that he was going to tell everyone that” they “weren’t together.”
She continues: “At the time when I was announcing that I was pregnant, even though we weren’t together I was hoping that we’d work it out because as soon as you put into the public domain that we are not together, it kind of felt a bit of an attack.”
Because he had made the announcement, Laura was in shock as she realised the pair “weren’t going to work this out.”
She says: “He did that the day that we were supposed to announce that I was pregnant.”

Laura said she was then targeted by trolls across social media and the “magical time” turned into a “circus.”
She says: “I got trolled.

“Just [because of] the way that he said that we broke up, I didn’t want to come out and say anything negative about him because I really was quite vulnerable at that time, and I really wanted our relationship to work.
“So I didn’t say anything and took these comments.
Public split
“A lot of people said, ‘oh you just used him.’”
When Laura was with her singer ex Dane Bowers, the pair had spoken about doing IVF.
She revealed that because of this, trolls targeted her for being “desperate” to have a baby.

Laura, who is mum to her 11 month old daughter Bonnie, continues: “[Trolls would say] ‘you must be so desperate to have kids,’ and then because I met Gary and we had a child quickly, it made this narrative. She was planned.
“I just felt like I failed, slightly before I even got started. She wasn’t even here yet, and I felt that I’ve not given her that basic right.
“I also don’t think it is my fault that we are not together.”

This week Laura slammed Gary, 42, after he shared a clip of himself with his daughter Bonnie alongside the caption ‘The Little Things.’

But taking to the comments section Laura angrily wrote: “Instead of posting videos of the one time you saw your daughter this year, can you please reply to my text from two weeks ago please, that would be great.”
In June when responding to a troll who questioned whether Bonnie ever sees her father, Laura replied: ' Do you mean has her daddy seen her…. No he hasn't since 2nd January if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others x.'
