FOR many, it comes part and parcel with a beach holiday.
But one woman who decided to get braids during her sunshine break was left regretting it, thanks to the "horrific" pain.

Niamh took to TikTok to share a video of herself getting the plaits done, as she struggled to hide her grimaces.
Over the top of the video she wrote: "Well that was horrific!"
The clip showed a lady pulling back Niamh's brunette hair, using some kind of wax or cream to keep the flyaways tamed.
While Niamh looked as though she was enjoying the process of having the cream applied, her mood changed when the plaiting began.
"At least I got free Botox on my forehead - they're that tight!" she added in the caption.
The sped up video ended by showing Niamh's finished look - two tight French plaits on either side of her head.
In the comments, Niamh added that the whole process had taken 10 minutes, but noted that the woman doing it was "so rough".
Others took to the comments section to admit they and their children had been left in tears after getting the braids.

"My daughter had it done in tenerife 6 yrs ago at 16, she was in tears with the tightness," one wrote.

To which Niamh replied: "Men don’t know they're living.
"S**t shower and shave. We have to go through pain just for our hair to sit nice!"
"I nearly cried having mine done, never again!!" a third commented.
"I had this done 14yr ago in Turkey," someone else said.
"It was that painful by time I got back to hotel I had to take them out lol!"

With Niamh replying: "I got my girls done last year - the whole lot of their hair was terrible, they were in pain."
