The mum-of-three, who was also pregnant, said: "I spilled the Dr Pepper in my car and I knew that was the last straw, I need to clean this out."

She then showed the sticky mess left in her cup holder before panning around to show the mountain of rubbish she had picked up from the car floor.

Brittany then moved onto vacuuming the car seats and car mats and was shocked to discover how much food was stuck in the seats.

The mum went all out and also took all of her car seats out to ensure she got into every nook and cranny.

She also saw an entire pack of Pringles that had been dumped onto the floor.

Her eldest son was starting school soon and she revealed it was a big reason for finally cleaning out her car.

Brittany revealed she was particularly worried about teachers judging the state of the mess.

"School is starting soon and I'm gonna be dropping off my oldest," she explained.

"And I don't want to open the door and teachers be like 'oh my gosh, did you see that mum's car."

The mum was too burnt out to vacuum the car but was happy with the overall improvement.

5 damaging TikTok cleaning hacks you should NEVER try

"If your car is dirty go clean it, it'll feel so much better when it's done," Brittany added.

The clip soon went viral on her TikTok account @brittanyscreativecorner with over 2.5 million views and 164k likes.

People were stunned by how messy the car was and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

How to clean interiors of a car

Remove Personal Items: Take out all items from your car including floor mats, trash, and personal belongings.

Open Windows and Doors: Ensure good ventilation.

Seats: Use the upholstery attachment to vacuum the seats thoroughly, making sure to get into the crevices.

Floor Mats: Remove the floor mats and vacuum them separately.

Carpet: Vacuum the carpets, paying attention to the areas under the seats and pedals.

Crevices and Corners: Use the crevice tool to reach into tight spots and between seats.

Dashboard and Console: Use a microfiber cloth and an interior cleaner to wipe down the dashboard, steering wheel, console, and other hard surfaces. For stubborn dirt, a soft-bristle brush can help.

Door Panels: Clean the door panels and handles with the same method.

Cup Holders: Use a small brush or a Q-tip to clean out cup holders.

Glass Cleaner: Spray a glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth and wipe down all windows and mirrors. Avoid spraying directly on the glass to prevent streaks.

Fabric Seats: Use a fabric upholstery cleaner. Spray a small amount on a microfiber cloth and gently scrub the seats. For stains, follow the cleaner’s instructions.

Leather Seats: Use a leather cleaner and conditioner. Apply the cleaner with a microfiber cloth, then apply the conditioner to keep the leather supple.

Carpet Cleaner: Apply a carpet cleaner to any stains on the carpet. Use a brush to scrub the stains, then blot with a clean cloth.

Floor Mats: Clean the floor mats with a suitable cleaner. Rubber mats can be washed with soap and water, while carpeted mats can be treated with a carpet cleaner.

Dashboard Protectant: Apply a dashboard protectant to keep the surface looking new and to protect it from UV damage.

Air Freshener: Consider using an air freshener or odour eliminator to give your car a fresh scent.

Another commented: "How does it get to this point I'd go insane if I have some crumbs on my seat."

"Omg I want to know how your home looks like," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "the Dr Pepper was the issue?"

"Haha my car is so much worse. So proud of you for cleaning it! You’re doing great,” claimed a fifth.
