AN eye balm has skincare junkies jumping for joy over its potent effects.
One beauty shopper went as far as to say that the product worked better than one that's four times the price.
Andalou Naturals Age Defying Plant-Based Retinol Alternative Eye Balm is usually sold for $17.99, but it is currently on sale for $9.99 on Amazon.
According to the brand, it uses antioxidants to promote a more youthful look.
The product contains fruit stem cells, which make it a plant-based option.
The use of plant stem cells in skincare hasn't been studied in-depth, a 2020 study explained, but they've been used for centuries in older medicinal traditions such as Ayurveda.
Several shoppers gushed over the effects of the eye balm, noting a drastic change in their skin.
One in particular said that the balm beats the pricier skincare buys.
"This eye balm/cream works better than my $75 pod of eye cream," they said.
"[It's] hydrating, brightens, and I can already see a slight improvement of my fine lines around my eye.
"I have very sensitive skin and I have had no irritation whatsoever from this product. [It's a] 10 out of 10."
Another pointed out that it's the perfect product for the under-eye area, a problem spot for many.
"This [is] going to make your under-eyes [look] younger, taking away puffiness and reducing wrinkles," they said.
They encouraged other shoppers to try it out for themselves.
"I usually go with Neutrogena I was on a low budget when I decided to try this and it will still be my next under-eye cream," they added.
A third satisfied customer said it reduced her under-eye dark circles and puffiness.
She added that she had been using the balm for about a year.
"It’s by far the best product for darkened circles under your eyes," she gushed.
"I only use it there. I use an eye gel for my wrinkled areas.
"For puffiness and dark circles, it’s the best product and it is absolutely the best price."
One more called it their "favorite," saying they chose it for the ingredients.
"I have been using this eye cream for about a year now with good results. I always look for clean products like this one. This one is definitely a keeper," they said.
