A WOMAN who was sick of looking at her tatty patio revealed how she completely transformed it.
Belinda Cornelius, from the UK, took to social media to show off the results and it left people in awe.

Belinda wrote: "My tatty old Patio has been given a new lease of life."
"In the first picture you could see that her garden patio wasn't looking it's best, the once pale grey slabs were now coated in green moss and had darker patches from stains over the years.
"To start the transformation she revealed she first cleaned the patio with a pressure washes to remove all of the moss and layers of dirt."
She then revealed what she did to achieve the results: "Cleaned, primed & 2 coats of driveway paint & sealer. So happy with the results."

The DIY whizz let the patio dry and then used a clear exterior primer from Wickes which you can nab for £13.
A primer helps the patio slabs to stick and not come loose.
It also helps to make the slabs strong and more durable.
Once the primer had fully set, she then moved on to using a sealant to lock everything in.

Applying a quality patio sealer or patio sealant means the surface becomes water resistant making it far harder for algae and lichens to grow.
It also makes it much easier to clean throughout the months and can be bought from Wickes for £20.

Belinda also revealed she used paint brush to get into the grout and corners and used a paint brush for the rest to make it a speedy process.

How to repair broken patio slabs
THE paving specialists at Simply Paving told Fabulous how you can repair broken patio slabs, without the faff.
The experts advised: “If you have a loose paving slab, then it’s unlikely it can be lifted straight by hand. Instead, you will probably need a hammer and chisel to prise the paver free of your patio.
“To remove loose paving slabs without damaging your flagstones, carefully chip away at the mortar around the paving slab with the plugging chisel and rubber mallet until the slab comes completely loose.
“Then, slide the spade into the gap left by the mortar and prise the paver free of the patio.
"As you lift it up, place a short piece of timber underneath the spade to act as a lever, making it easier for you while protecting the slab underneath.
“When the paver starts to give, place the cylindrical wood underneath it and roll the slab out of the patio.”
