A WOMAN has shared a simple hack that’ll help you save cash on your next food shop.
So if you have plans to head down to Tesco to get your groceries, then you’ll need to check this out.

Naomi Willis, an ‘award-winning blogger’ from the UK who often shares money-saving tips, tricks and hacks online, has revealed why you need to have a close-up look at item stickers before buying things from Tesco.
Particularly if your payday is coming up, and you’re having to pull together your last few pounds to get your shopping, this simple piece of advice could come in incredibly handy - and will let you know whether it’s worth waiting to buy products.
Posting on social media, the savvy mum shared her clip with the caption ‘Offer pricing hack hiding in plain sight! This works in Tesco. Have you seen similar in other supermarkets?’
She then took her followers around her local Tesco, as she said: “This is one hack that lots of people don't know about and can make a difference in whether you buy an item or not.

“So you know the item is on offer, but if you zoom in here, you can actually see when it ends.”
The Tesco fan zoomed into the white stickers, next to the Clubcard price, to show off her shopping hack.
Underneath the normal price, on the right hand side of the sticker, is always what appears to be a random six-digit number.
But in fact, according to this ‘skint’ content creator, this number signifies when the offer on that specific product will end.

The mother added: “This happens across everything - it's the date backwards and it shows you when the offer's gonna end.”
The savvy mum, who posted her clip back in March, gave her followers a close-up look at the sticker on the Tesco Finest hot cross buns.

Whilst they were originally priced at £1.60, they had then been reduced for those with a Clubcard, to just £1.25 a pack.
But as the Tesco shopper zoomed into the small white sticker, she spotted the numbers ‘240401’.
What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?
TESCO'S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop.
These points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places like restaurants and days out.
Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.
Drivers using the loyalty card get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.
One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 money-off voucher, for example.
You can double their worth when you swap them for discounts with "reward partners".
For example, £12 worth of vouchers can be swapped for a £24 three-month subscription to Disney+.
Or you can swap 50p worth of points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.
Where you can spend them changes regularly, and you can check on the Tesco website what's available now.
Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card.
The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you'll pay a higher price.
These Clubcard prices are usually labelled on shelves, along with the non-member price.
But it's worth noting that just because it's discounted doesn't necessarily make it the cheapest around, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.

The observant shopper noticed that the numbers are the date but backwards, as she claimed that this classic buy would be going back up to the full price on 1st April.
The bargain hunter continued: “This is a really good tip to work out whether it's a bulk buy now at a better price, or to wait and get it next week.”
Thanks to this simple piece of advice, you’ll now be able to tell whether it’s worth filling your cupboards with something, or waiting until your next payday when you’ve got more cash to splash, if the offer is still available, helping you to better spread out your costs when shopping.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @skintdad, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 276,900 views.

Not only this, but many social media users, including Tesco employees, expressed that they had no clue about this.
How to save money on your supermarket shop
THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.
You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they've been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you'll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you'll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.
This means ditching "finest" or "luxury" products and instead going for "own" or value" type of lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they're misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
If you're on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
