In a recent video, the podcast host tried and tested a sweet Christmas hack for 2024.

Ash - mum to Ella, eight, and Charlie, six - said: "I wanted to share with you some of my tips and tricks and hacks I've seen this year that I'm trying out for the first time to see if they're worth it.

"Really simple things that I think could really impact your Christmas in a nice positive way.

"Either saving your time or just adding an extra bit of sparkle to your day."

And for her place settings hack, all you need is three candy canes.

With a 12-pack of the festive treats costing just 90p in Asda, it works out as just 23p per place setting.

Ash said: "I absolutely love [this hack] because I think it is so cute and adds such an extra little bit of Christmas glamour to your dining table.

"If you have your guests over for Christmas dinner this is a beautiful way to display their place card."

She added: "All you need for this is three candy canes and you're going to make a little stand out of them.

"So have them sitting almost in a triangular formation so that you've got two at the front and one as a little base at the back.

"This is going to give stability to it but also give you an area to place the card at the front.

"I think even if you've got a really neutral colour palette for Christmas, a red and white candy cane will always have a place at someone's Christmas dining table that adds a bit of tradition.

"And also I love the fact you can eat this once you're done."
