FESTIVE FEAST

Chippy near Glasgow launches special festive treat – and fans love it

They were forced to order more after they sold out in a day!

A SCOTS chippy has launched its special take on a Christmas classic that food fans are bound to love.

Marini's restaurant in Baillieston, just outside Glasgow, showed off the mouth-watering festive treat as it arrived on the menu.

Owners at the chip shop have made a key change to the battered sausage.

Before it's battered, the sausage is completely wrapped in bacon to make a jumbo pig-in-blanket!

The giant treats have even been christened the Notorious P.I.B by chippy bosses.

The Christmassy cuisine was added to Marini's menu on Wednesday.

But they were forced to order more after they sold out in a day!

Since then they have continually been posting to alert hungry locals when the Notorious P.I.Bs are back in stock.

And for those who aren't as hungry, they do a box of mini battered pigs-in-blankets, with a dipping pot of gravy or cranberry sauce to add to that Christmas taste.

Marini's punters can pay £4.95 for a single jumbo P.I.B or £6.95 for a P.I.B supper.

Places across Scotland have been rolling out festive-themed food to get people's tastebuds into the festive spirit.

We previously visited the St Enoch winterfest in Glasgow to try an entire Christmas dinner on a TOASTIE.
