Parents race to the McDonald’s app for a FREE reindeer experience that makes Christmas a whole lot more magical

The clever AI technology will leave your kids stunned on Christmas morning

PARENTS are always looking for ways to make Christmas as magical as possible for their kids.

And thanks to the McDonald's app, there's a new way to add some festive sparkle to Christmas morning - and it's completely free.

Jess took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share the experience, as she wrote: "McDonald’s are doing a live reindeer experience on the app.

"Will be really magical for little ones!"

The Reindeer Ready Live experience requires users to take a picture of their living room, before an augmented reality reindeer is inserted into the image.

You can then scale the living room image behind it to make it look as realistic as possible.

This is then used to create a clip which makes it look as though the reindeer has been "caught on camera" tucking into the carrots left out for him.

And people were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: "This is really good. Used it last year!"

"I’ve just done it. It’s brilliant. Going to do it on Christmas Eve," another gushed.

As a third tagged their friend and added: "You seen this? Pretty cool!"

"The kiddies will love this!" someone else wrote.

And another person insisted the clever trick was "not just for children", as they snapped a picture of their dog relaxing in their living room and then inserted the 'reindeer'.

In the screenshot from the clip, the dog was seen looking slightly apprehensive as he eyed up the AI animal in front of him.

You can access the Reindeer Ready Live experience via your phone or computer - just visit www.reindeerready.co.uk/live.

It was recently revealed that one of the other festive treats McDonald's has offered in previous years - a bag of carrots for Rudolph and his friends - has been axed.

The home of the Big Mac is charging 79p for its "Reindeer Treats" this Christmas instead of giving them away for free like previous years.

It's also been revealed that McDonald's are charging 79p for their bag of 'Reindeer Treats', aka mini carrots, they gave away for free in previous years
