The tweet in question, is from a customer who expressed frustration with HEB’s pricing practices.

The user highlighted a significant price discrepancy between the promotional price advertised on the shelf and the amount charged at the register.

"Robbed again by H-E-B, 2/$4 for cheese on the shelf turns into 2/$6 on the receipt. I'd never buy Kraft Brand cheese otherwise - no offense."

"Didn't notice until I left the store, so I didn't get this money back yet," they added.

According to the shopper, this wasn’t an isolated incident but rather the fifth occurrence of such an issue this year alone.

The tweet garnered some replies from other shoppers, sharing their perspectives and similar experiences.

One user chimed in, noting that this problem isn’t unique to H-E-B.

"Happens all the time at Kroger for their promos as well…"

Another pointed out a possible explanation, "Most likely the sale ended and someone missed pulling the tag.

"All things considered, I choose H-E-B over all other grocery stores."

In reply to this response, the original poster tweeted, "They're great, but if you pay close attention they routinely have overcharged me."

"Hi there!" commented HEB's social media account.

We have received your DM and have responded to you there. Thanks for bringing this to our attention."

The original poster simply responded with an unimpressed emoji.

The RPI is a comprehensive national study that analyzes the approximately $1 trillion US grocery market.

H-E-B was at the top of the ranking for the third time because the store has, "the strongest customer value proposition for the long-term," Dunnhumby said in a press release.

"This is due to their superior ability to deliver a combination of better savings and better experience/assortment, supported by time savings through superior digital capabilities," it added.
