The video has nearly 200,000 views and over 10,000 likes.

In the video, Vivian compares an iconic skincare product, the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Fighting Face Wash, with its Dollar Tree dupe, the Kissable Oil-Free Acne Wash.

Neutrogena's version will set shoppers back $9.49, while Dollar Tree's version costs just $1.25 – saving shoppers $8.24.

However, the Neutrogena face wash is slightly larger, coming in at 9.1 ounces compared to its seven-ounce Dollar Tree dupe.

VIVIAN TRIES

In the video, Vivian wondered how the dupe could possibly compare with a product that's been around for so long.

I love being bougie on a budget – I hit the jackpot at Dollar Tree with new serums and a ‘fall vibes’ skincare dupe

However, she did scoff at the price tag, which she believed was a bit steep.

"This needs to be $5.99 max," Vivian said.

Dollar Tree dupes

Savvy shoppers have scoured Dollar Tree to find dupes of their favorite products

Shoppers found a perfect replica of a $150 set of Pottery Barn plates and bowls. Plus, Dollar Tree has matching mugs.

Dollar Tree also had dupes for the viral Starbucks tumblers.

Customers found dupes for Home Depot's $39 outdoor solar lights.

Dollar Tree has a dupe for The Pink Stuff cleaning paste, too.

According to Vivian, all an acne product needs is a dose of salicylic acid and then it should do the job.

After checking both bottles of face wash, she was able to confirm their active ingredient was indeed salicylic acid.

Both the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Fighting Face Wash and Dollar Tree's Kissable Oil-Free Acne Wash contained two percent salicylic acid.

Vivian then compared the smell of each face wash and found the scents were comparable.

"They pretty much nailed the scent as well," she added.

DUPE OR FLUKE?

Vivian then compared the consistency of the two washes and said Neutrogena's was more gel-like while Dollar Tree's product felt like a traditional soap.

However, the consistency wasn't enough to stop Vivian from recommending the product.

"I would still say, try this," she said, pointing at the Dollar Tree face wash.

The U.S. Sun reached out to Vivian for comment on her review.

Dollar Tree pricing

Despite the name of the store, Dollar Tree recently added items that cost more than $1 to its inventory.

Most items at the store cost no more than $1.25, but items in the Dollar Tree Plus section cost up to $5.

Dollar Tree introduced Plus aisles to 100 locations in 2019 as part of an effort to diversify its products.

By 2022, Dollar Tree had added the items to over 1,500 locations.

"We believe testing additional price points above $1 for Dollar Tree products will enable us over time to expand our assortments, introduce new products and meet more of our customers’ everyday needs," president and CEO Michael Witynski said in a statement.

"Our brand promise is that customers get great value for what they spend at Dollar Tree. We will continue to be fiercely protective of that promise, regardless of the price point."

A DOLLAR FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

Vivian's viewers and subscribers shared their thoughts about both face washes in her video's comment section.

Some raved about the Dollar Tree dupe, while others said they preferred Neutrogena's pricier face wash.

"I use that acne dupe. Don't have acne. Just very sensitive skin," one viewer wrote.

"I've been using that acne wash for my face for 5 years now. Absolutely love it," another viewer added.

"The dollar tree acne wash is the truth, it was only supposed to be a temporary thing but the way this kept my skin from breakouts I was shocked," another viewer wrote.

"They stopped carrying it for a while but now it’s back and I’m so happy," they added.

"I've tried the acne wash, imo not as good as Neutrogena or the CVS brand wash," another viewer commented.

"Neutrogena is worth every penny!" a subscriber chimed in.

MORE BEAUTY STEALS

Dollar Tree continues to amaze shoppers by offering quality dupes of trendy, popular, and more expensive items.

Some Dollar Tree enthusiasts are already raving about the retailer's Hydrating Facial Wipes with Hyaluronic Acid.

Some shoppers say it's "almost identical" to Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Face Cleansing Makeup Wipes with Hyaluronic Acid.

Another shopper recently stumbled upon a dupe for Native body wash.

She showed off the retailer's wide selection of body washes, which included scents like pumpkin spice, a fan-favorite for the upcoming fall season.

As always, everything shoppers found at Dollar Tree started at just $1.25, costing significantly less than their brand-name product dupes.
