After the incident the woman who allegedly threw the drink spoke to The Sun.

She said she hadn’t planned to throw the milkshake at the Reform leader, but did so because Farage is "an ar*e".

She added: "He just is. I don't know why. Maybe his parents raised him that way."

When asked which of Farage's policies she disagreed with, she said: "I don't want to say anything else."

The seaside town is where Farage announced he’ll be standing for Parliament.

The Conservatives held Clacton in 2019 with a majority of 24,702 in an election in which the Brexit Party, led by Mr Farage, stood down candidates to help then-Tory leader Boris Johnson.

Clacton was also the scene of a Ukip by-election win in 2014, triggered by Douglas Carswell’s defection from the Tories.

What has Nigel Farage said about the McDonald's milkshake incident?

Nigel Farage didn’t seem too fussed by the incident at first.

He’s since posted several times to social media platform X, including a picture posing with a McDonald’s milkshake in his hand.

Farage also criticised the group Stand Up To Racism after they posted a picture of the incident with a laughing emoji.

It’s not the first time he’s been targeted.

Back in 2019 a protester drenched Farage with a Five Guys shake whilst he was on a walkabout in Newcastle.
