Who is Kheira Hamraoui?

Born near the Belgian border in 1990 in Croix, northern France, Hamraoui kickstarted her career as a highly touted youngster at Roubaix in 1999, developing at the club until 2004.

The midfielder switched to Leers for a couple of years, but by 2006 it was clear she was on a special trajectory when she joined Clairefontaine, a French club renowned for exciting youth prospects.

Hamraoui switched kits multiple times over the next few seasons, before eventually finding herself at the pinnacle of French football by 2012 as a Paris Saint-Germain player.

Hamraoui claimed a pair of treasured trebles at PSG, with the club winning the division one title race along with the Champions League and Coupe de France Feminine twice.

In 2018 she packed her bags for Barcelona and helped the Spanish club reach the Champions League final - but she was suspended after picking up two yellow cards in earlier games, missing what was a 4-1 loss in the final.

However, her final season at the club came with significant success - another treble with Barcelona claiming the Primera Division title, the Champions League and Copa de la Reina.

Hamraoui also pieced together an impressive CV at international level, making her debut for France in 2012 in a friendly against England.

She made 41 appearances for France, scoring three times.

The star featured in the 2015 Women's World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
