As one of the world's premiere bodybuilding titles, winning the Mr. Olympia competition is usually seen as the pinnacle of a bodybuilder's career.

But for Yates, it was just the beginning.

He went on to win six consecutive Mr. Olympia titles, making him the fifth-highest-ranking competitor in the competition's history after greats like Robbie Coleman and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 62-year-old was recently spotted at the gym by a fan who asked him how he still has such killer leg muscles so many years after he left the sport professionally.

"Take a look at that," the fan can be heard telling Yates in the Instagram clip he shared on his profile thedorianyates.

Yates flexed his bulging legs for seconds for viewers to be amazed.

"How often are you training now?" the fan asked him.

The megastar did not miss a beat before revealing his easy maintenance routine.

"Once a week lower body, once a week upper body, for half an hour to 45 minutes," he said.

"I do a lot of biking as well, so that's keeping them in shape," he added.

NO PAIN, NO GAIN?

The fam seemed to have a hard time believing that Yates only headed to the gym a couple of times a week to stay in such good shape.

"Look at those calves — you gotta be training them. Only once a week?" he asked again.

Yates laughed before giving his response.

"I trained them about... 27 years ago," he said with a big smirk.

"That was 1998, I did my calves, so..." he joked, referencing the year he retired from professional bodybuilding.

SIMPLE STEPS FOR SUCCESS

Yates also gave more serious advice for any fans looking to tone up their legs.

I trained them about... 27 years ago.

"Gone are the days of 1500lb leg press and six plates a side on smith machine squats, but a lot of the muscle and definition remains," he wrote in the post caption.

"I only really do seated leg extensions and both seated and lying hamstring curls along with some bodyweight squats, so no leg pressing or hack squats. I also ride my bike and do interval training too!"

The pro doubled down on how easy staying fit can be.

"And for my calves, I haven’t done calf raises in years! I mainly maintain them now by walking predominately."

"Of course, I have a good diet with high protein and not too many carbs nowadays," he said.
