The fight broke out on Friday morning at 1 am at the fast food restaurant in Lakeland, Florida, after the customers arrived at the drive-through to place their orders.

The victim told police that Gardner had gotten their orders wrong, sparking the altercation.

Police revealed that Gardner and the group of friends began to argue over the food.

The footage from the restaurant shows the exchange between the two got heated very fast, as Gardner was shown throwing a drink at the driver.

The victim was then recorded opening up the window and then throwing cups back into the restaurant.

The two seemed to have a back-and-forth before Gardner closed the window.

The driver then appeared for a second time, throwing a cup filled with liquid through the window.

Gardner was then shown grabbing a white bag, which was said to have a gun inside.

The customers had driven around the business and the staffer also followed, according to police.

Gardner was said to have started shooting at the car.

The victim and her friends had driven off into a nearby apartment complex, where they found one bullet by the passenger seat.

No one was injured during the shooting.

Gardner denied that she directly shot at the group of friends, claiming they were just warning shots, according to Fox affiliate WTVT.

The McDonald's employee was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, without intent to kill.

McDonald’s franchisee Lanny Sumpter told The U.S. Sun in a statement: "The safety and wellbeing of my customers and crew is paramount to me as a business owner, and I am shocked and disturbed by the actions of this employee.

"Violence of any kind is never tolerated in my organization, and the employee has been terminated following a number of organizational policy violations.

"We will continue to work with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation."

McDonald's locations have seen their fair share of violence lately, with numerous attacks occurring in or outside their premises last month.

In late May a McDonald's customer was attacked after a man went on a violent rampage in an AMC movie theater before moving on to the fast-food chain.

Four young girls were stabbed by a man at the movie theater in Braintree, Massachusetts in what police say was an unprovoked attack.

The suspect then allegedly fled the scene and traveled to nearby Plymouth where he is believed to have attacked a patron at a McDonald's rest area.

Cops were then involved in a high-speed chase which ended in a crash before arresting the suspect.

Around the same time, a man in New York City was stabbed in both legs in a machete attack in Times Square outside a McDonald's.
