Fox is connected to the death of a child in his care, who was brought to a hospital in Kirkland, Washington with "no pulse and obvious signs of abuse" on April 11, according to the US Marshals Service.

The girl, suffering from an acute traumatic brain injury, was later transferred to a Seattle trauma center and placed on a ventilator.

She succumbed to her injuries six days later on April 17, with the King County Medical Examiner only recently ruling her cause of death to be homicide.

The investigation was led by police in Kirkland, who first identified Fox as a suspect.

Kirkland police then worked with the US Marshals Service and Bow police to create a plan to arrest him and secure evidence in the case.

Police tracked Fox to New Hampshire, where he was reportedly considering attending New England College in Henniker to play as a running back on the college’s football team.

However, a college spokesperson clarified to MassLive that Fox had never been part of their student body or football team, noting that the college is still in the process of creating its team.

In fact, Fox's last known enrollment was at Edmonds Community College in Washington, where he also played football.

After a warrant for Fox’s arrest was issued, Kirkland police tracked him to a Hampton Inn hotel in Bow, New Hampshire, according to the US Marshals Service.

Kirkland police then worked with the US Marshals Service and Bow police to create a plan to arrest him and secure evidence in the case.

Bow Police Chief Ken Miller told the Union Leader that his department was contacted by Kirkland detectives late last week, asking Bow police to check if Fox was staying at the local hotel.

Police were then able to confirm that Fox's car was parked at the hotel, deciding to keep an eye on it for the next few days, bringing in the US Marshal's office for assistance.

Then at around 9 am on Wednesday morning, after having Fox under surveillance for days, all three departments descedned onto the hotel property together and arrested Fox.

Fox, who police say has a history of violence, was ultimately arrested without incident and is being held without bail at the Merrimack County Department of Corrections.

Miller said Fox was “very cooperative” and even "seemed surprised" about the arrest.

“We just told him there was an active warrant out of Washington for him," Miller said

“We didn’t tell him for what. We were going to let the detectives from Washington take care of that.”
