The father is said to have toppled off a wall before falling into the water near a beach close to his hotel in Camp de Mar resort.

Paramedics rushed to help the man after they were alerted at around 9pm on Wednesday.

The man was stabilised at the scene but is thought to be battling for his life after reportedly hitting his head hard as he fell.

Doctors also found a number of welts and bruises over his body.

His children were quickly checked over by the ambulance crew before being returned to their mother.

Initial reports suggest the man was playing in a car park next to the creek with his kids before climbing a small 2ft wall surrounding the water.

Moments later he slipped and dangerously smacked his head off the rocks.

Another holiday tragedy saw a man rushed to hospital after plunging 15ft off his hotel balcony in Majorca.

He was left “seriously injured” as he landed on his head after a row with friends in broad daylight, report local media.

A month earlier, a Brit tourist was rushed to hospital after he fell from the third-floor of an apartment block in Magaluf.

The man, aged 25, suffered "very serious" injuries to his face and head.

It comes as a 55-year-old British cyclist tragically died earlier this week after being hit by a car in a horror accident in Majorca.

The man spent nearly three weeks in intensive care at Son Espases Hospital in Palma before he was declared dead.

He was knocked off his bike and left unconscious on the ground with severe head, chest and pelvic injuries.
