UKRAINE has blasted an oil terminal in Russia while humiliated Vladimir Putin flexed his military muscle at Navy's day parade.

Explosions could be heard in Kursk region where a kamikaze drone strike targeted Polevaya oil plant in a bid to stall Kremlin's offensive in Ukraine.

Footage shows the oil tanks engulfed in inferno with plumes of smoke seen in the sky.

Governor Alexey Smirnov said: "Ukrainian drones attacked an oil terminal in Kursk region.

“Three tanks with fuel caught fire.”

The blazing fires were caught on camera in Ukraine's latest coordinated effort to cut off Russian oil supply in the conflict zone.

This is the fourth time Ukrainian forces struck Polevaya oil depot which supplies fuel for the Russian military machine.

According to Ukrainian Defence Forces, the enemy's air defence systems were operating in the area where the facility was located.

The blast took the shine off a stage-managed naval parade in St Petersburg, presided over by Putin involving 200 ships and other vessels and 15,000 military personnel.

But this year's parade lacked the display of Russia's largest warships after Putin's Fleet has been rendered almost redundant in the war.

Zelensky's army has impressively chipped away at Vlad's beloved warships, attacking at least 20 vessels since the start of the war.

Ukraine’s top brass said 33 per cent of the Black Sea Fleet’s 184 warships had been disabled.

Earlier this year, Putin's newest and only remaining missile cruiser Zyklon was destroyed alongside the 266-M minesweeper, Kovrovets, by Ukraine forces.

In April, Ukraine’s Navy said it had struck the salvage ship Kommuna - the oldest ship still serving in the Russian Navy.

In response to sustained Ukrainian attacks, Russia has moved some of its warship fleet to Novorossiysk, in the south, away from ports like Odesa in Ukraine and Sevastopol in Crimea.

Speaking at the parade, Mad Vlad has issued a chilling warning to the West that his country may use new strike weapons in retaliation for the United States' intended placement of hypersonic and longer-range missiles in Germany.

Putin pledged to take similar action to the US, which earlier this month declared that it will begin deploying the weapons in 2026.

The despot said: "If the U.S. implements such plans, we will consider ourselves free from the previously imposed unilateral moratorium on the deployment of intermediate and shorter-range strike weapons, including increasing the capability of the coastal forces of our navy."

He continued by saying that Moscow is nearing completion on the development of suitable systems.

In recent weeks, both Washington and Moscow have indicated that they are prepared to use ground-based, intermediate-range weapons, which were outlawed for many years by a 1987 deal between the US and the USSR.

In 2019, the United States withdrew from the accord, citing Moscow's alleged violations of the agreement through missile testing.
