A BRITISH teenager with cerebral palsy has died in Crete.

The teenager was rushed to hospital in nearby Heraklion on Tuesday.

She was taken to the children's ICU, but tragically died this morning.

The girl's mum told local media her daughter was born with cerebral palsy.

A FCDO spokesperson said: "We are providing support to the family of a British child who has died in Greece and are in touch with the local authorities."

It comes after a Brit was killed in a horror crash on the Greek holiday island earlier this month.

The 47-year-old woman was on holiday with her husband and in-laws in the town of Chania.

The family was walking along a street in nearby Georgioupolis when a driver lost control of his car and hit the woman and her 54-year-old sister-in-law, local reports said.

The woman later died in hospital - while her sister-in-law suffered injuries to her arms and legs.

The car ended up in a field, with a picture showing a damaged silver Peugeot next to an olive tree.

And last week, a Brit tourist died at a Spanish airport as he waited to board a Ryanair flight home to the UK.

The holidaymaker, aged around 60, was pronounced dead after collapsing in the boarding area at Reus Airport on the Costa Dorada coast.

He is believed to have died from natural causes.
