Brit tourist, 21, sexually assaulted while walking back to hotel after night out in Majorca as police arrest suspect

A BRITISH tourist has allegedly been sexually assaulted after a night out in Majorca as police arrest a man twice her age.
The 21-year-old woman was heading back to her holiday apartment when she claims to have been attacked in the early hours of August 7, in Port d’Andratx on the island’s west coast.

Detectives have taken a 40-year-old Senegalese man into custody.
The suspect owns a fishing boat in the port near to where the woman and her friends were drinking late into the night.
It is claimed that he allegedly sexually assaulted the tourist after approaching her for a brief conversation.
The 21-year-old claims she was then “taken advantage” of due to her state of drunkenness.

Cops arrested him on his boat in the early hours of Monday morning as he prepared to head out to sea.
He had a closed court hearing soon after his arrest.
Local newspaper Ultima Hora has identified him only by his initials B.S.
He has since been released on bail pending an ongoing criminal probe.

It comes as a 30-year-old Brit alleges she was raped and robbed on a beach in Majorca.
She told cops she agreed to go to the beach with a man she'd met before a second male suspect also appeared and allegedly forced himself on her in the vile attack.
They then fled with her belongings, according to the holidaymaker.
The woman says she agreed to have sex on the sand with the first man prior to the meet up before things took a horrific “unexpected turn”.
In April last year, an Italian man was arrested on suspicion of raping a 38-year-old Brit on a beach near Magaluf.
He is accused of luring her away from a nearby bar after a night out in Palmanova which borders the famous party resort.
A spokesman for the Civil Guard in Majorca said at the time: “The Civil Guard in Calvia has arrested an Italian man aged 20 as the suspected author of a crime of sexual assault on a woman aged 38.
“The alleged victim and suspect coincided in a late-night bar in Palmanova.

“When the bar closed, the suspect allegedly took advantage of the woman’s state of disorientation because of the amount of alcohol she had drunk, to take her to the beach and rape her.
“Officers began an investigation and managed to identify and locate the alleged offender.”
