KAMALA Harris shouldn’t hesitate to face off against Donald Trump on Fox News, says ex-White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.

Speculation over whether the two presidential candidates will debate has been rife since Joe Biden dramatically dropped out of the race for a second term in July.

While Biden was still in the race, Trump had agreed to face off against the commander-in-chief on September 10 before taking a different course when Harris became the nominee.

After initially backing out, Trump and Harris have agreed to debate on September 10.

But Trump proposed two debates on either side of the September 10 showdown – one on Fox News on September 4, and the other on NBC on September 25.

Harris has not yet formally agreed to those contests but Scaramucci, who served in the Trump Administration for 11 days in July 2017, urged the vice president to take the Republican up on his offer.

He believes Trump and Harris need to face off against each other.

“If I were Harris, I would debate him on Fox. No problem,” Scaramucci told The U.S. Sun.

“Just debate him any place, any time, anywhere.

“He will never be able to handle you in the debate.”

Scaramucci claimed Harris would “pulverize” Trump in a showdown but warned the Republican would look weak should he back out of a proposed debate.

He warned Trump’s reputation would be damaged.

“He’s not stupid, so he knows he’ll have to debate her,” Scaramucci added.

In the month that followed Biden’s decision, Harris has enjoyed a honeymoon period in the polls.

As of August 15, she is the favorite to win the presidency, per Polymarket.

Harris has a 54% chance while Trump stands at 45%.

Who is Anthony Scaramucci?

Anthony Scaramucci served as Donald Trump's White House Director of Communications for just 11 days in the summer of 2017.

He held the position from July 20 until July 31, 2017.

Scaramucci holds the record of being the shortest serving comms chief in White House history.

Before entering the realm of politics, Scaramucci worked in finance.

He studied at Harvard Law School and joined Goldman Sachs in 1989.

But Scaramucci was fired after just 18 months.

He was later rehired by the company and in 1993 became the vice president of the Private Wealth Management division.

Scaramucci founded the venture capital company Oscar Capital Management before launching SkyBridge Capital in 2005.

After serving under President Trump, Scaramucci often appears on networks such as CNBC to discuss markets and economics.

He also stars on The Rest is Politics US podcast alongside renowned journalist Katty Kay.

On July 16, the market suggested Trump had a 72% chance of victory. That was until Biden abandoned his campaign.

Harris is currently the favorite to hold onto some of the battlegrounds the Democrats are defending.

This includes Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

But the battleground states across the Sun Belt – Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada – remain up for grabs.

Arizona is on a knife-edge, but Harris has a 52% chance of retaining Nevada, according to Polymarket.

MOMENTUM SHIFTING

Harris is the heavy odds on favorite to win the popular vote – but that doesn’t necessarily decide the presidency.

Trump ended up in the White House despite losing the popular vote against Hillary Clinton.

But, speaking to The U.S. Sun last week, Scaramucci said the election was Trump’s to lose.

“Trump should win the election,” he said.

“He would’ve demolished Joe Biden. But, now the Democrats have a fighting chance and they certainly have a chance down [the] ballot.”

Before Biden ended his re-election, fears were mounting that the president continuing his campaign would impact candidates down the ballot.

Reports in the Daily Mail suggest Trump could fire some of his staffers as he tries to reset his presidential campaign.

Ex-Trump spokeswoman Sarah Matthews told MSNBC's Jen Psaki the former president fears the election could be slipping away.

On Thursday, Trump will hold a press conference at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf course.

Scaramucci said there’s still enough time in the race for the polls to shift toward Trump but claimed the Republican made a bad choice when naming his running mate.

“He could reset the campaign. There’s time to go here,” he added.

Scaramucci claimed there is a 50-50 chance Trump could drop JD Vance from his ticket.

He said Harris picked the right running mate in Tim Walz.

TRUMP REMORSE?

But Scaramucci warns if Trump replaces Vance with Nikki Haley, that combination could pose problems for Harris.

“We’ve got the first presidential decision-making of the campaign: Trump picked the wrong vice presidential nominee, she picked the right one,” Scaramucci said.

Scaramucci explained how dropping Vance could play out in real time.

He said Trump would wait until after the Democratic National Convention, starting next week.

“Trump knows they’re going to big-foot him attention-wise in late August,” he said.

“He needs to get the pop. He needs to get the publicity.”

Scaramucci warned that if Trump decides to drop Vance, he must admit he made a bad move.

“I don’t know if he’s willing to do that,” he admitted.

“So he may just drag Vance along with him.”

There’s no evidence to suggest Trump is considering changing his running mate.

If I were Harris, I would debate him on Fox. No problem.

Trump has ramped up his attack lines on Harris as he tries to stall her momentum.

He has repeatedly branded the Democratic ticket radical and even labeled Harris and Walz “comrades.”

Trump has warned the Democratic ticket could turn the United States into a Communist country.

During a chat with Elon Musk this week, Trump claimed the US wouldn’t survive under a Harris administration.

Haley has urged Trump to attack Harris on her policies, rather than hurling personal jibes.

“You can't win on those things. The American people are smart. Treat them like they're smart,” she told Fox News.

Harris has not done a sit-down interview for more than three weeks and she and Walz hammer the battleground states.

And, Real Clear Polling suggests Trump’s lead in the seven battlegrounds is wafer thin.

Harris is reportedly trying to re-brand herself and run on lowering healthcare costs and tackling price gouging, per Axios.

Republican critics claimed she had taken a page out of Trump’s playbook.
