Who is Elizabeth Holmes' husband, Billy Evans?
Elizabeth Holmes was put on trial for fraud and conspiracy as the founder of the failed blood-testing startup Theranos.
On November 18, 2022, the Theranos founder was sentenced to 11 years behind bars. Holmes started her prison sentence on May 30, 2023.
On July 11, the Bureau of Prisons online database showed that her sentence was reduced by approximately two years. According to the website, Holmes will be released in December 2032.
Holmes' husband, William "Billy" Evans, born in 1993, works as a special projects manager. He is also an heir to the Evans Hotel Group chain of hotels in California.

He reportedly grew up near San Diego. He's one of three children born to Susan and William L. Evans.
Evans attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
During summers between school, Evans worked at various financial and consulting companies in California, according to his LinkedIn. He was also a student brand manager at Red Bull while at MIT.
The Evans family has lived in the San Diego area for generations. Billy Evans' grandparents, Anne and William D. Evans, founded a hotel management group in 1953 called Evans Hotels. The group manages three properties in the San Diego area.

Sources told Vanity Fair the two married in 2019 in a secret wedding.
The couple met at a party in 2017, according to Elle, and were spotted attending Burning Man together in August 2018, days before Theranos shut down fully.
Holmes has been seen wearing Evans' signet ring from his alma mater MIT on a chain around her neck, according to the New York Post.
A colleague who worked with Evans at Luminar Technologies told The Post: “He gave her his MIT signet ring. Billy and the MIT ring, they are inseparable. He always wore it on his pinky finger.
“He could snap his fingers and have a triple-A diamond engagement ring instantly if he wanted to. But if you give her some extravagant ring, it could end up owned by the feds if she has to give up her material possessions.”

Holmes and Evans have two children together.
Amid the Theranos scandal, the couple welcomed a child, son William Holmes Evans, into the world on July 10, 2021.
