THE San Francisco 49ers awoke to hotel fire alarms in Las Vegas for Super Bowl week.

At the team hotel at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, sirens sounded minutes before franchise players were due to get up.

At 6:03 am on Thursday, seven minutes before tight end George Kittle's 6:10 alarm was supposed to sound, the 49ers were jolted awake by the hotel fire alarm.

In the end, players didn't have to leave their rooms because it was a false alarm, but the disturbance annoyed the franchise and its top stars.

When Kittle headed down to the hotel lobby to meet up with teammates, he deduced running back Christian McCaffrey and defensive end Nick Bosa were the grumpiest from the 18-minute-long alarms.

"It had to be them," the five-time Pro Bowl tight end told ESPN.

"You don't want to wake the sleeping bear. But Christian was not happy, too."

At media availability later in the day, McCaffrey was still agitated about the alarms, claiming somebody intentionally sounded them.

"I think there's no way it's random," the running back said.

"It's part of it. It's just more wood thrown on the fire."

Bosa was also asleep when the alarms went off, immediately flipping to his phone to look at the 49ers defensive line group chat to figure out what was happening.

While the defender admitted and was thankful the alarms didn't go off in the middle of the night, he couldn't help but relate it to a previous experience.

"I'm sure somebody did it," Bosa said.

"It kind of reminded me of Philly when they had this construction going on outside.

"It was early in the morning and they were like demolishing a bridge right outside of our hotel.

"We haven't had the best luck. But no excuses."
