If the deal goes through, it would be yet another step into the media world for Kelce, who has already made extremely popular appearances on Saturday Night Live and starred in his own reality show Catching Kelce.

It is unclear how much of a commitment Kelce could make to the show with his NFL activities, but it is possible that it could be pre-taped before the start of the season.

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? ran on Fox for three seasons starting in 2007 before it was moved to syndication.

It returned for a fourth season but was later moved to Nickelodeon where it was hosted by another athlete in John Cena.

The trend of athletes hosting game shows isn't uncommon lately. Michael Strahan has starred in a new version of The $100,000 pyramid on ABC.

Peyton Manning also worked on a rebooted version of College Bowl for NBC and Peacock.

Showrunners are likely hopeful to use the massive media presence around Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift to attract big names to the potential reboot.

Kelce now has many fans outside of the world of football that TV producers can target thanks to his high-profile relationship.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has also proved he has a voice for the camera thanks to his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason.

The duo have won awards for best sports podcast for their explosively popular show together and have drawn major corporate interest from it's popularity.

If he does sign a deal to host the game show, it could throw a wrench in Kelce's plans for the remainder of the offseason.

Kelce is currently enjoying some time off with Swift now that she has the rest of March and April off from her Eras Tour.

He was also reportedly planning on joining her on the European leg of the tour starting in Paris in May, and then tagging along until the start of his training camp in July.

If there is a potential show to be filmed, Kelce may have to cut his time with Swift short to go fulfill that commitment.
