STILL A DANGER

Undisputed star Rachel Nichols labels Golden State Warriors ‘a dangerous team’ and admits shock at Draymond Green stat

Fans fury with Nichols for free throws comment

THE Golden State Warriors will be a "dangerous" team in the NBA playoffs, according to Undisputed star Rachel Nichols.

The Warriors moved to 45-36 for the season when they beat the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

And Nichols believes they are well capable of making an impression in the weeks to come.

"When the Warriors are comfortable, when Steph Curry is comfortable, that is a dangerous team no matter what seed they are in the standings," she said.

One fan wrote on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, "@Rachel__Nichols has to understand that just bc the warriors are a dangerous team, doesn’t mean that they’re good enough to make a playoff run."

Another fan also isn't convinced, posting, "They going home in the first round."

Nichols also said there's one statistic about Draymond Green that she is finding hard to believe.

'He's shooting nearly 40 per cent from three. That is a sentence about Draymond Green that I did not expect to be saying.

"But again, that is the kind of thing where they're all comfortable with that they want to be doing out there."

The Warriors saw off the Lakers 134-120 on Tuesday night.

They are now just a half-game back of the Lakers for the ninth seed in the Western Conference. They also now own the tie-break between the teams.

While the Lakers and Warriors will likely face off in the first game of the play-in tournament, the higher seed will get to host the clash.

Nichols also incurred the wrath of Warriors fans for comments she made about the team relying on free throws.

She was speaking on Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson when she made the comments.

Nichols said, "One thing that worries me about the Warriors, for them in terms of what the future would look like and maybe in that do-or-die play-in game if it happens, is we look at that Boston-Milwaukee game last night, right?

"Two free throws for the entire game and none for Boston. The Warriors are a team that depends on their free throws."

The Warriors are ranked in a tie for 27th in free throw attempts per game, and fans did not take kindly to this suggestion.

One fan wrote on X, "The 'Undisputed' just became 'Unwatchable'."

And another fan posted, "It’s criminal because you know some people gonna run with this narrative."

A comment from another account read, "She must be mistaking them for the lakers cuz warriors never get free throws."

The Warriors are back in action on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers.

They will then play the New Orleans Pelicans and the Utah Jazz this weekend.
