Focusing specifically on the Golden State Warriors, who will take on the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, Johnson explained how he felt they were facing a "totally different situation from what we saw at the beginning of the year."

To be specific, he cited Klay Thompson's return to the starting lineup, the return of Draymond Green who had been suspended at times throughout the year, and Chris Paul being healthy.

First off, Johnson predicted that the Warriors would beat the Kings.

He also forecast a win for the Los Angeles Lakers when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the other Western Conference Play-In game.

This would then set up a game between Golden State and New Orleans, which Johnson again foresees the Warriors winning.

They would then face the daunting challenge of tackling the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.

This is where Johnson stunned Pierce, suggesting the veteran-filled Warriors lineup could take down the youthful Thunder.

Sitting back in his chair, Pierce simply responded, "Come on" as he listed in disbelief.

"You know they know how to play. Think about it," Johnson implored.

While they may not have seen eye to eye on the first round, Pierce did agree with Johnson that he feels the Warriors can beat the Kings.

"I don't see them losing," Pierce said.

"And I want to see Klay go off tonight. Truthfully, I've loved this core since they've gotten together and won championships together.

"I do think they have the experience. I think they have the fight in them.

"Just something about Sacramento hasn't been the same this year as they were a year ago.

"They are not intimidating anybody on their home court."

As for Johnson's co-host Skip Bayless, he too believes the game is Golden State's to lose.

In the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat will take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday followed by the Atlanta Hawks against the Chicago Bulls.

The winner of the Bulls-Hawks game will then battle it out against the loser of the Heat-76ers matchup.
