The former England U21 international had a stunning season for the Baggies in the 2014-15 Premier League campaign when he scored 20 league goals at the age of 21.

After the failed signing of Roberto Soldado, Spurs saw Berahino as the future of their front line and offered West Brom £22million.

That offer was rejected as West Brom held out for £30m, and Spurs went on to sign Heung-Min Son instead.

Berahino's form never recovered from there, with him scoring just seven goals the season after that.

By the 2016-17 season, Berahinho went the entirety of that campaign without scoring.

On Wednesday, Berahino hosted a Q&A about his career on X.

It saw fans ask if he would join Wrexham and why things didn't work out for him at Stoke.

And it also saw one fan ask why he didn't make the move to Spurs in August 2015.

Berahino said: "Right spurs payments was unacceptable and West Brom wanted 30mill. But levy would pay 1.5mill and the rest In instalment 😂😂."

Berahino would eventually move to Stoke City in a £15m deal in 2017, but failed to make an impact - scoring just five goals in 56 appearances.

From there, his career reached journeyman status, with Berahino playing in the Belgian league and at Sheffield Wednesday.

He currently plies his trade for AEL Limassol in Cyprus.
