Both Leverkusen and Dortmund fancy the teenager, who Manchester United looked at last summer.

Back in September, Rigg scored on his Sunderland debut against Southampton.

His goal made him Sunderland's youngest ever league goalscorer, breaking a record held by Jimmy Hamilton for over half a century.

Before that, he appeared in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury when he was just 15.

In doing so, he became Sunderland's youngest outfield player EVER.

Rigg has represented England at youth international level.

He captained England at under-16 level, before being promoted to the under-17 squad while still only fifteen.

Next, he is set to star for England in the upcoming European U-17 Championship.

Last summer, it was reported Rigg snubbed a move to Sunderland's arch rivals Newcastle.

According to The Athletic, he signed a two-year scholarship contract with the club.

Rigg's performances for Sunderland's youth team and in the first team have seen him raved about.

As many consider him to be the best of his age in the country.

Liverpool and Manchester United have also been suggested as potential destinations for the wonderkid.

While a move to Germany would see him follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham, who both went to the Bundesliga to aid their development.
