POKER'S biggest event of the year is officially upon us with its 55th edition.
Some of the world's greatest card players are set to sit around the most esteemed table.
The 2024 World Series of Poker will have a lot of work to do to best last year's record-setting event.
Last season's WSOP set records for field sizes in more than 10 tournaments.
That included a record 10,043 entries for the World Championship Main Event and a record-breaking $12.1 (£9.48m)million payout to winner Daniel Weinman.

When is the 2024 World Series of Poker?
The 2024 World Series of Poker will run from May 28 to July 17.
It will offer nearly 700 tables, many new events and the highly coveted WSOP Main Event Bracelet, which begins on July 3.
Where is the 2024 World Series of Poker taking place?
The WSOP takes place at the Horseshoe Las Vegas, which is formerly known as Bally's, and Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip.
