Gareth Southgate's troops put on an improved display in the first half of the quarter-final clash in Dusseldorf than they did against Slovakia last weekend.

Bellingham turned in a better display and got the better of several Swiss players in the opening 45 minutes.

And he drew the ire of one Switzerland fan when he brilliantly won a free kick from Newcastle defender Fabian Schar.

The furious fan mocked the Real Madrid man by pretending to bawl his eyes out.

The hilarious act spread like wildfire on social media and received a slew of comments.

One fan wrote on X: "Man of the match."

Another said: "Must have had a long hair in his eyes."

And another said: "Troll king."

One remarked: "Give him a one-match ban."
