Shohei Ohtani spotted making ‘lewd’ gesture during Dodgers game as fans accuse MLB star of ‘over celebrating a bit’

SHOHEI Ohtani appeared to make an NSFW gesture during the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies game Wednesday.

The Dodgers superstar singled in the first inning and proceeded to steal second.

After being called safe Ohtani pulled off his glove and shook it right in front of his crotch.

Fans stormed to X to share their reaction to the star's "lewd" celebration.

"Ohtani is over celebrating a bit," one fan claimed.

"Thats wild lol," wrote another.

"I'm crying bro [two crying emojis]," commented a third.

"If you’re Ohtani you do what you want," a fourth fan said.

"What a few days in Philadelphia does to a man smh," joked a fifth.

Former AL MVP Jose Canseco even decided to weigh in on Ohtani's celebration.

"This is disgusting," Canseco wrote on X with a video of the "lewd" act.

But some fans noticed that Ohtani was not making an NSFW gesture after stealing second base.

"Emptying his batting glove from the dirt that got into it," wrote one fan.

"He was getting dirt out of his gloves," a second fan said.

"Everyone relax he was shaking out dirt from his glove," commented a third.

The Phillies ended up defeating the Dodgers 4-3.

Ohtani went 2-4 on the night with an RBI singling in the first and fifth innings.

The Dodgers DH is having another MVP-esque season batting .317 with 28 home runs and 66 RBI.

As for the Dodgers, they sit atop the NL West division with a 55-38 record.

Meanwhile, the Phillies are arguably the top team in baseball and have a league-best 60-32 record.

The two teams began their three-game series on Tuesday with Philadelphia winning 10-1.

Philadelphia will attempt to complete the sweep tonight when the teams meet at 6:05 pm ET.

Landon Knack (1-2) will take the mound for the Dodgers and Aaron Nola (10-4) will be on the rubber for the Phillies.
