Douglas dropped a hot take, sharing a name that many people would have thought already proved themselves.

"I'll say for my quarterback I'm gonna go a different route," Douglas said.

"I'm gonna go Josh Allen."

Douglas chose Josh Allen because he has a very new offense without his former top weapon.

"The reason why I'm saying Josh Allen is because you no longer have Stefon Diggs," Douglas continued.

"You have a rookie wide receiver in Keon Coleman, and I believe Keon Coleman is gonna be great, but if you're Josh Allen, can you do what we've seen Patrick Mahomes do when he didn't have one of those top dogs at the wide receiver position?

"I understand that Patrick Mahomes has Travis Kelce, but guess what Josh Allen? You have Dalton Kincaid."

Douglas is asking a valid question, because Allen's numbers before and after the arrival of Stefon Diggs are much different.

Allen played his first two seasons without Diggs, and struggled to cement himself as a top starter.

In 2018 and 2019, Allen threw for 2,074 yards and 3,089 yards respectively, adding 10 touchdowns his rookie year and 20 his sophomore season.

After Diggs' arrival, Allen never threw for under 4,200 yards and never under 29 touchdowns.

He was a top-five MVP candidate for three of those four seasons.

NFL fans shared their opinions on Douglas picking Allen, and also shared their picks for quarterbacks with the most to prove.

"Absolutely Josh Allen. Trevor. and Anthony Richardson," one fan said.

"Actually I think it's The 49ers and Brock Purdy. It's time for the 49ers to win the Superbowl this time," another fan said.

"The million dollar question is why is Josh held so high in your minds," a third fan said.

"Him & Lamar 1A-1B," a fourth fan said.

Allen has a very new offense in 2024, with a wide receiving corps consisting of Coleman, Chase Claypool, and Curtis Samuel.

It is a much weaker group than Allen has seen in the last four years.
