Anderson told reporters that he has bulked up from 248 to 263 pounds.

“Last year I was like 248 and by the time we got to like the Ravens game, I felt like I was getting tossed around,” Anderson said.

“I kinda bulked up a little this offseason.

"Tried to keep my speed, I did keep my speed. I’m like 263 now.

"I feel good, some people say I don't even look big so I appreciate you for that.”

Anderson had a sensational first season for the Texans, winning AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.

He also started 13 games and recorded seven sacks in his rookie campaign.

Anderson bulked up through a series of exercises including single-leg lifts, mobility exercises, speed squats and speed bench.

“My whole thing coming into the offseason was to get bigger, stronger and faster,” Anderson told Forbes.

“And I’ve been able to do all those things."

During the offseason, he worked out with Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett and Texans defensive end Danielle Hunter.

Anderson revealed he was reprimanded by Hunter for not eating vegetables during dinner.

“My biggest thing, I just wanted to get bigger, stronger, faster," he added.

"And I think those were the areas that I really improved on and have more mobility and flexibility to be able to get in some of the positions to bend a little better, to get off blocks a little better and to use my hands a little better.

"So those are all the areas I feel like I’ve been taking the necessary steps to continue to keep improving.”

Anderson has revealed his five older sisters pushed him to work hard in the offseason.
